Hollow /Flat Glass printing

Printing inks for Glass used in beverage, food, drinkware, cosmetic and FMCG markets.

There are 2 types of glass inks- Solvent based and UV based. Both of these are free from heavy metals, are dishwasher safe and chemical resistant. Solvent based inks- Epoxy and PU based ink systems work best on glass. The pad and screen printing based solutions are alcohol, acetone, household cleaners, dishwashing agents, greases, oils, kerosene and petrol resistant and show excellent characteristics of gloss, matt, tactile and foil overprinting . Common applications include glass containers used in cosmetics, house wares, storage containers, touch panels, capacitive touch plates, switch plates and appliances. UV based Inks- Suitable for curing by LED technology and also with conventional UV systems (Hg-, Fe-doped). Thermal post-treatment is not required thus saving significant time, energy and space. The UV LED ink series offer Excellent adhesion and scratch resistance immediately after  curing, high process reliability is therefore guaranteed. Excellent for  high production speeds up to 110 cycles per minute. Printing on Glass requires very high optical density. OD of log2 is achieved with opaque black T-01/10kk halogen-free and OD above log 4 is achieved with T-01/10kk halogen-free grey ink overprinted.
