REACH test is one of the most widely used tests for inks in the ink Industry and EU regulations are worldwide followed regulatory standards for the Ink industry. REACH regulation concerns the production and usage of chemical substances, and the possible impact they can have on the environment and human health.

There are three basic categories of all chemical substances used as industrial purposes as well as non-industrial purposes such as cleaning products, paints for clothes, furniture and electrical appliances etc.: 

REACH SVHC (Substances of Very High Concern) list: This list comprises of the substances which are not banned but are supposed to be phased out and replaced with safer alternatives.

REACH AUTHORIZATION list: If a substance is present in this list, this means that it cannot be put into the European market without a prior approval from authority. One needs to take an authorization for the specific use of that chemical substance.

REACH RESTRICTED list: Chemical substances who find place in this category have their amounts restricted to the limit mentioned against each one in the list.
