Current Toys Safety Directive (TSD) 2009/48/EC
European Directive 2009/48/EC is Toys Safety Directive (TSD) and is the upgraded version of former directive 88/378/EEC. It covers all safety standards related to toys and provides various guidelines for consumers and manufacturers. Apart from Toys Definition, Electrical, Flammability, Mechanical, radioactivity it provides strict requirements of chemicals in the toys and related childcare articles. The directive restricts chemicals susceptible to CMR (cancerogenic mutagenic reprotoxic) beyond certain levels
